A Force of Nature

Today's show was so powerful it arrived like a force of nature.  It was a very powerful Monday to say the least.  I was on the edge of my seat.  What ever has motivated the writers at General Hospital to improve their writing I hope it keeps up because today was amazing.  I have watched the entire episode about 3 times already.  Today's show was so amazing but I wanted to highlight my favorite parts.

Carly a.k.a Florance Nightingale really can see Shawn is not a bad person but clearly has gotten himself into a situation that will endanger his life.  I love Carly isn't even afraid of Shawn or at least show fear. I know not everyone loves Carly but she is a force to reckoned  with and I love that about her.   Sonny will do anything to get information about Brenda.  Carly might be the absolute only person to talk Sonny down from killing Shawn in her living room.  Carly is the one person that has always been able to mange Sonny and right now she is Shawn's only hope.

To say Jason was terrified when he saw Sam would an understatement of great portion.  At that instance the only thing on his mind was Sam.  I was almost sure he was going to assault the paramedic that told him 'family only'  but he didn't.  See if Jason would just propose to Sam they would be able to publicly define their love for one another formally then he would have been allowed in the ambulance.  Steve, Robin and Patrick all knew better then to tell him family only though once Sam arrived at the ER.  I loved how Edward kept saying Sam was the best thing that ever happened to Jason.  I love that even Edward sees that Jason's life has purpose with Sam in it. Jason was so lost and worried as he sat in the waiting room. Every second Jason wanted to be in that room holding Sam's hand.  With every breath Jason took he kept praying and hoping Sam would pull through.  He couldn't let himself think of if she didn't make it.  Michael said it best when he told Jason, Sam is like a force of nature. Sam is the only one tough enough in Port Charles to survive an explosion. She once told Jason she had 9 lives.  She really does.  She's as tough as they come.  I was thankful Alexis didn't scream violently at Jason telling him this was all his fault that Sam was in the explosion at the ER.  This wasn't Jason's fault and I am glad Alexis saw that. It was almost comforting to see Jason and Alexis have accepted one another in Sam's life enough to not fight over who can sit by her or fight over her treatment like they did when she was shot in 06.  Jason didn't really have time to care or even listen to much that Franco said because Sam was the only thing on his mind.  Since the second Jason saw Sam on the stretcher until Sam woke up Jason could not breathe.  His whole world had stopped in mid-orbit.  I loved how she squeezed Jason's hand and he left out a sigh of relief.  Sam is Jason's whole world and it could begin spinning again now that she was waking up.  In that instant he could finally breath again.  He was so relieved he didn't notice that Sam was clearly confused and something was not right for her.  I am not very good at lip reading so I am not sure what Jason told her when he saw what she was seeing but I am sure it was I love you.  Hopefully tomorrow Jason will realize she can't hear but never stop telling her he loves her.

Call the Comment line tell them how great the show was today.

Not Everything Is As It Seems

This week there has been one strong theme through out the entire week and that is, not everything is as it seems.  I'll admit it was a long week of wedding, wedding, wedding but underneath the very sappy over-blown wedded bliss was the danger of the Balkan and possibly Franco.  While I know I am the first to complain about how drawn out this wedding has been,  there are some pretty important things happening in Port Charles lately.  You also can't deny the writing has been very good lately.  Let's hand it to the writing team of GH for keeping us on the edge of our seats for these sweeps.

It's been a month of shocking reveals. We have known Theo was The Balkan but we only suspected Saghag Suzanne was Mrs Balkan.  We knew that Brenda was pregnant and that Dante had signed away his rights as the father but what we didn't know was that Dante and Brenda were not old flames for one anther.  We didn't know that Dante wasn't the father of the baby at all.  We have suspected that Saggy isn't being completely honest about the whereabouts of  the child but I think that will come to light very soon.  Some other things we didn't know until this week was Robin still loved Patrick. We have always known Jax hated Sonny but not until the limo exploded and Jax raced to the scene, we didn't know how much.  We still don't know what part, if any, Franco has in anything that is happening.

The beginning of today's show was so well done.  Michael and Abby kissing, Alexis and Jax toasting to new beginnings, everyone happily throwing rose peddles on our newly married couple.  Happiness completely embraced the citizens of Port Charles for a split moment.  Then happiness was ripped away from those same citizens of Port Charles in a blazing flash.  The horror of a bride being blown up in the limo on her wedding day resonated through the whole city like a shock wave. As everything appeared Sonny's hell of his first wife had just repeated itself.

The children looked on as their new step-Mother was in a blazing car or at least so they thought.  The girls had no idea that their own sister was in that car.  While they went on about how worried they were about Brenda, they never dreamed their own sister was the actual victim.  As Jason raced over to the Archer Pavilion to be with Sonny he never thought to call Sam.  He thought she was there somewhere.  When he talked to Sonny about Theo he began to realize Sonny had not seen Sam.  But things were moving so fast for Jason with everything going on, he didn't think that everything was not adding up.  He even started to piece some of the pieces together that didn't add up, why did the Balkan want Brenda to die the same way Lily did.  It didn't add up. He was too wrapped up to realize that the phone call from Franco was actually a huge clue that he needed to start search for Sam.  Franco targets two people to get Jason's attention typically Michael and Sam.  Michael was among the crowd so he was safe.  Jason was sure Sam was either with her sisters or at the PH waiting for him. He never dreamed that the horror that he was comforting Sonny was experiencing was about to be his own.  In those few seconds while Sonny pulled what he thought was Brenda's hair out of her face and quickly realized it was Sam, another explosion happened in Jason's heart.  He's whole world just shattered when he saw Sonny pull down the blanket around Sam's face.  Jason's reaction was so incredibly sad.  The shock on his face made me want to cry.  I know Sam is alive and survives but oh my goodness if I didn't I would have been crying in that instant.  Even knowing that she survives, I got tears in my eyes.  I can not wait until Monday.

A Week of Cliffhangers

This week seems to be the week for cliff hangers.  Thank God for them because otherwise today's show would have yet another painful day in the saga of the Sonny and Brenda wedding.  I am so ready for this wedding to end.  I really think ABC and GH expected more fans to be excited about this wedding then it really has been.  Sonny and Brenda are NOT Luke and Laura.  Oh can we take anymore of this wedding and that enormous pink bow?  At least the wedding had some of it's entertaining parts to save us all from a complete coma.

I loved Carly today.  I am always team Carly but today she made me proud.  She held to her convictions and was graceful about the outcome.  This is the class Laura Wright has brought to this character.  Before Laura Wright, Carly's character was a lot of things for classy wasn't one of them.  I would absolutely LOVE to see Carly and Luke team up together, Helena wouldn't have a prayer.  If they could only combine that with Lulu's knock out punch they might really be an unstoppable team.  The best part of today's show was Lulu punching Dante.  I only wish she had done that the wedding for everyone to see.  Even though we only got about 30 seconds of Michael and Abby it was sweet to watch.

Thank goodness for Maxie.  She spent 5 minutes at Jake's assessing Lisa and Johnny and figured the whole thing out.  Maxie really should work for McCall and Jackle, she could have probably realized that Theo was the Balkan months ago.

Jason really should have listened to Sam about sticking together.  Sam was very uneasy about Jason going with Shawn alone into a potential ambush, with the words "Jason, see you soon."  really meant, "I love you and I hate this but I am doing it."  Jason really should have looked at the big picture.  He really should have just stayed with his Sam so she would not be vulnerable to The Balkan.  Today's cliffhanger did not disappoint.   I think I just figured out how Theo grabs Sam. Tomorrow should be good and HOPEFULLY will be the end of the ATTACK OF THE GIANT PINK BOW, I mean the Sonny Brenda wedding.

20 Years in the Making

Today it was back to the Titanic we go, I mean the Sonny and Brenda wedding.   Brenda's secret has finally been exposed for all their wedding guests to hear.  For once I thought maybe this will give Lulu a reason to hate Sonny less because they are both victims of the hidden Brante affair. Honestly I thought Brenda handled this whole thing wrong.  I mean Carly did give her a chance to leave quietly before the wedding.  Why didn't she just ask someone to get Sonny and tell him before it was out in front of everyone?  Why do that to someone you claim to love?  Brenda did get it right, she is selfish and not good enough for Sonny.  Granted Sonny appeared to come around but seriously Brenda there are much gentler ways to break this type of news to a bi-polar, erratic mobster that is known for flying off the handle.  Finally, after 20 years in the making,  the wedding happened.  This is great news for us viewers who can start counting down the days we have left of seeing Brenda in that hideous dress and scary makeup.

Clearly Saghag and Baldy might want to work on some honesty and communication in their own relationship.  I still think Saghag is hiding that baby and has her own agenda.  Should be interesting to see how that plays out. I really can't wait for this story line to wrap up soon.  Neither of these two are very pretty people and not that enjoyable to watch.

Was nice to see Monica! I love seeing her even if it was with Liz.  Liz has to be thinking about the paternity now after that comment.  Funny Monica was quick to notice the resemblance between Aiden and Lucky but never Jason and Jake.  Epiphany is always the voice of reason at GH.  I actually loved her advice to Liz.  She reminded her she has 3 healthy children and that is what she needed to focus on.

I loved Jason and Sam scenes today.  Jason was so intense and serious when he explained to Shawn if he hurt Sam he would kill him.  His love for Sam was so tangible when he asked her if she was okay as Shawn held her at gunpoint.  I was surprised Shawn backed down as willingly as he did. Shawn was very surprisingly honest with Jason and Sam about he being hired by the Balkan to grab Brenda.  I loved Diane walking into the office and seeing Jason wave the gun like go away Diane.  Diane provides the humor that situation needed. Shawn was very quick to change sides which makes me wonder that he might have another double cross up his sleeve just yet.  Maybe that is how Sam gets grabbed and put into the limo right before it explodes?

Until tomorrow!

I know I usually don't do this, but recently there have been some incredible JaSam vids out on You Tube.  Here are my favorites for today:

Passengers on the Titanic

Edward said it best, this wedding is making us all feel like passengers on the Titanic today on GH except, of course, the Titanic did have a better band (per Luke's observation).  The wedding drama continues today.  I don't know about you, but this wedding seems like it is taking a few decades to get going.  I love that everyone had their own theories as to what exactly was holding up the wedding.  I especially LOVED  Carly's entrance and all the commentary that followed it.  Of course, I enjoyed the commentary from the Quartmaine/Spencer side of the house best.  Tracy nudging Edward after Carly walked in saying, "Pay attention, Daddy. It's about to get really interesting."  Luke noting that the iceberg has just hit the bow.   Spinelli looked as if he had swallowed a whole pie at once and was now going to be very ill, when he saw Carly.  Only two people in there knew what Carly had in her arsenal and they both knew she would use it.   Both of them watch as Carly opened her purse at the wedding thinking and down the Titanic will go.

I wasn't overjoyed or even excited about this wedding this time around.  Sonny and Brenda aren't the legendary couple they once were nor were they as stunning as they once were in their prime.  Their wedding at least brought out the entertainment in Port Charles.  But finally the moment arrived when Brenda walked down the isle.  I Floved that Carly was the only one sitting.  It was classic.

Speaking of the Titanic, I think Johnny is starting to feel like the band that played on as the Titanic sank in regards to Lisa.  She is pretty much beyond all hope.  Johnny could not save his sister so he has made it his mission to save Lisa from herself.  He sure has his work cut out of him.  She will stop at nothing to have Patrick just like his sister with Sonny.  It was hard to tell who was playing whom at the end when they started to mess around.

Jason and Sam are the best dynamic team.  From the opening today of them storming into Theo's hotel room, I knew it was going to be another good JaSam day.  Even when these two aren't communicating through words, they speak volumes to each other.  They know each other's every move.  Jason knew the second he didn't see Sam sitting her her seat at the wedding, she had gone after Shawn.  She also knew that (thankfully), he would go after her to help.  Unfortunately Shawn knows Jason's weakness.  Shawn knows Sam is Jason's whole heart so threatening her is the most effective way to make Jason do what he wants.  Shawn should probably realize that Jason has that look in his eyes, which means: Think Twice Before You Lay a Hand on Sam.  Shawn is on the wrong side but not a bad guy.  I think they will all reach an agreement that won't get Sam shot.

So what is The Balkan part vampire now?  Is he hanging out in Caleb's old vampire cave? Be careful Theo, there is a lot of secrets of  Port Charles you don't know about.  You never know when others my be lurking.

I know a lot of you have heard about all the news surrounding GH casting change of Nurse #2 (aka Floor Whore) and the PA event over the weekend Kelly Monaco confirming Sam is not pregnant.  But keep the faith, our couple is amazing! They have over come so much and are so strong.  Do not give up on them or GH just because we don't have a miracle McMorgan baby on the way.  I promise you, if we do get a McMorgan miracle baby story line it will be worth the wait.  Be patient and keep the faith in our couple.  Call the Comment lines, keep positive and patient!  This week is going to have some incredible JaSam moments.  Keep watching!

Just Stunning!

Oh the wedding day as arrived and the cast of GH is looking stunning.  Carly, Sam, Olivia, Tracy and Alexis could have stopped traffic in their outfits today!  Alexis really could have stopped traffic with her plunging neckline dress. Nancy Grahn has joked on twitter about this outfit and her chest in this dress.  The men cleaned up very nicely too. Nice to see all the citizens of Port Charles out looking spiffy.  Wedding jitters were in the air for the wedding couple but everyone else was just very entertaining today for the most part.

Max and Milo were hysterical today with kidnapping Carly.  Carly is a lot of things but poor and defenseless isn't one of them.  Carly is probably the most resourceful resident of Port Charles.  I had faith she'll find a way out of this one.  Oh she did use some of those resources today didn't she.  I laughed so hard during those scenes between Max, Milo and Carly. Carly's last scene was priceless! Gosh I love when Carly goes after people I don't like!  She is relentless when she wants to be.

I loved how Luke and Tracy spoke to Sonny about marriage.  After all they are the most recently married couple of PC.  They do keep that spark alive between the two of them don't they.  I love how Tracy joked about using the name Mrs. Spencer when her husband doesn't turn her into an international fugitive.   I love the Spencers all present.  Luke knows that if Carly gets to the wedding things could get ugly for his lovely little Lulu.  But Luke also knows he does not interfere in his kids lives.  He is in a tough spot today.

Steve and Olivia were cute together.  I love her comment to Steve about this being her first mob wedding.  Olivia is no stranger to mob dealings but at least she can joke about it.

Watching Lulu and Dante be all mushy again was boring but what isn't boring is I saw a media pic of Lulu decking Dante!  Oh I can't wait for this.  I like when Lulu is on her game and can see people for their true colors.  I want her to see Dante for this.

Molly is pretty smart to figure out how to stay quiet and hide under the desk when Theo decided to reveal his identity.   Molly was so scared she about hyperventilated when Jason, Sam and Spinelli arrived at the law office. I loved Sam and Jason working together to bring down the Balkan.     I just loved Sam and Jason working together to get to Theo. What a stunning ending to today's show with Jason and Sam perched outside of Theo's hotel room about to bust in!

Some things that don't add up with Theo and Saghag.  Why did he need Siobhan to give him wedding details if he has Saghag as his partner all along? Why did Saghag never tell Theo about the baby?  Why didn't she just kill Brenda after she had the baby? Or at least give Brenda over to Theo.  I think Saghag is working her very own agenda and I don't know how much of it has to do with avenging her son's death.  I think she's a little more lethal than most give her credit for.  It will be interesting to see what she does next.   Not to mention how does Franco tie into all of this?  I know he calls Jason because he feels Jason has been spending too much time chasing the Balkan and no time on him but is Franco somehow tied to The Balkan?  And another thing remember in the very start when I was pretty sure Saghag was the Balkan Guza said that "the Balkan" wasn't really a person but a personae more.  So is Theo just her front man?

Next week should be interesting.  All the wedding build up makes you know there is something huge coming along.

Call the comment lines and let the know how much you love JaSam together and how happy you are they are so solid right now!

You are everything I need

I find the plan to keep Carly captive at Sonny's house is rather humorous.   Max was the first to point out, Carly is very passionate person and knows Sonny's house like the back of her hand.  She will find a way to get away from those two.  It will be so entertaining. Max does not want to do to go against Carly.  It's kind of cute.  Their kidnapping of Carly was priceless!!!!!! Max and Milo will have more then their hands full with this hostage.

Theo really needs to realize he needs to discuss Balkan business outside of his law office since everyone does clearly walk into the office.  His treatment of Alexis might strike a nerve with Shawn.  Shawn is very fond of Molly and I think he is actually a good guy who is working on the wrong side.  I think Shawn is going to realize that very soon. Theo really needs to learn how to lock doors.

Is it just me but are those bridesmaid dresses just not very pretty.  I get Sonny and Brenda are nervous about their wedding but seriously if they were this nervous shouldn't they just have eloped and saved us all the torture.  Why does the Balkan have to wait until her wedding to kidnap her. Why can't they just take her now and save us all the pain of having to watch this wedding prep today. I so wish Carly could drop the bomb on Sonny before the wedding and he decide Botox isn't worth his while.  I know there have to be Sonny and Brenda fans out there somewhere but even they have to be disappointed with her return and the reunion.  I loved Sonny and Brenda in their day but they are not what the used to be.

It seems Mike being in rehab (aka retired from the show) is putting a strain on the Spencer family business. It's comical to see Luke step up to working at Kelly's for once.  I think it's amusing he got Ethan to man the shop.   I am not a fan of the idea of Ethan and Krissy for a few reasons.   First, I like Maya and Ethan together.  I think they are cute and funny.  I love Maya is tough on the outside but has allowed Ethan into her life.  Maya and Ethan are both adults.  Krissy being hot for Ethan is wrong especially because she is so judgmental of Michael and Abby's relationship for age reasons yet there are more years between her and Ethan.  Most of all, what happened to Taylor?

Oh what Brenda and Sonny do not have anymore is a spark.  But you know which couple really does have a spark, is our super couple.  Oh my goodness their dialog today was amazing.  They are both so amazingly happy together and so am I.   I melted watching these two today.  They really have so much magic on the screen.  I really wish they were the ones getting married because they are so in love.  Stelly Magic alive and well on screen.
Jason to Sam: "You are everything I need."
Jason: "You know a lot went wrong..."
Sam: Mhmm
Jason: "and we got through it."
Sam: "We did."
Jason: "And we came out stronger in a lot of ways."
Sam: "We sure did, didn't we? My life doesn't work without you, Jason."
Sam to Jason: "I mean I don't think any relationship is perfect, but I wouldn't trade ours for anything in the world."
Sam: "I love you"
Jason: "I love you too."

These lines today reminded me of the 2005 and 2006 revelations by Jason and Sam.  I love they are back to that point.  I love they aren't afraid to tell each other exactly how they are feeling no matter what.  Sam makes Jason light up inside and out.  She is like air to him and he is not afraid to tell her.

Call the Comment Line - let them know we are loving how romantic and amazing the Jason and Sam story line is right now@!

Connecting the Dots

Botox is really absolutely CRAZY.  She is quite insane.  She really needs to go to Shady Brook. She is off her rocker about accusing Carly for everything for the wedding dress to a hang nail.  I was glad Sonny defended Carly to Botox.  It's about freaking time Sonny makes it clear to Botox Carly is the mother of 2 of his children and she holds a special place in his heart Botox can never tough.  Sonny knows Carly well enough to know when she is up to something and this time I love that he told Botox she was off base. For once Sonny was paying attention to the details and figured out Saghag Suzanne was behind all the wedding sabotage. Finally Sonny started connecting the dots to get a clearer picture of who was behind this.  Of course Botox didn't decide to actually apologize to Carly or anything.  Now we get to see the dark side of Saghag.  I knew she was involved with The Balkan. I knew she was the mommy to the guy that Brenda killed and has been playing her all along. I am sorry but the thought of Saghag and Dopey-ear Theo married and together makes my stomach turn on so many levels. They are both CLEARLY past their prime but them kissing was too much for me.  I think we will also learn that Brenda's child did not die in Africa but that Saghag took the baby.  OR another idea is that Suzanne thought the baby was Dante's and she poisoned Brenda to lose the baby but that sounds a bit dark for daytime TV.

Carly has a whole different plan on how to connect some dots of her own.  Luke and Carly have been bonding a lot recently.  Those two keep the Spencer curse a live and well when it comes to being happily married.  I think the two of them spend more time on the outs with their respective spouses then anyone could even compare to.  But it does leave for plenty of them for Uncle Luke and Niece Caroline to bond.  I love that Luke didn't want to talk Carly out of her bombshell plan, he approved it.  Carly is almost as good of a conartist in her own right as Luke is in his.  Carly is a true Spencer.  While Carly wasn't raised by Bobby or acclimated to the Spencers until adulthood the curse did not escape her.   Sometimes I wonder, why can't Carly and Jax just be happy? Then I remember, she is in fact a Spencer.  They are happiest when they are unhappy.

Abby finally resurfaced.  I was concerned she had been locked up in her room at the metro court until the end of time.  It was sweet how Michael went with Abby to see Johnny.  Johnny was nice enough to Abby but now is going to try to hold this over Michael's head. That was not cool of Johnny.  He has known the living hell Michael's life has been.  He is spending too much time with crazy Lisa, I think.

I know Jason and Sam's romantic night got cut short due to Shawn breaking, but weren't they still adorable working together holding him at gun point? I really wanted Jason to fire Theo.  At first I was thinking, Jason played right into his hands.  He really should have let Sam throw him out of the office.  He also should have listened to Sam, Jason just gave Theo a master class in how to manipulate him.  Obviously, Shawn and Theo did their homework so they know just what buttons to push with Jason.   But then Jason played the upper hand and had a plan all along.  Jason and Sam began to connect the dots of all the players that have surfaced with Brenda. I hope this means that this story line of The Balkan will be wrapping up soon so Jason can spend more time with Sam. Speaking of Sam and connecting the dots we need to start thinking about her health.  I think something big is happening with Sam and no one knows it yet.  We know she was dizzy and had nausea which could be anything  but we also know she isn't pregnant (or at least that is what the blood test said). If she is not pregnant, what else could it be?  Are there any other subtle symptoms Sam has mentioned in the past couple of months?  Well if you go back and re-watch since December she's been very tired a  lot, dizzy, nausea, over-stressed those are the symptoms. But it is supposed to snowball at the end of the month, so what else is going on with Sam?  Is she ill?  Does something happen to her at the wedding?  The next few weeks should prove to be interesting if this storyline plays out.

Happy Valentines Day!

Romance was the theme today, of course on General Hospital. They did such a good job with the story lines today I almost didn't notice the annoying parts.

Did anyone else notice Friday Lisa roofied the wrong beer?  I did but I wasn't sure if that was a mistake or note.  Then today my suspicions were confirmed.  Lisa has become careless in her stalking and drugging the Drakes and managed to roofie herself.  Terrell's comment that he isn't out often with someone who is sane was kind of funny as Lisa was carted off by Johnny.  Johnny caught Lisa in her game which was hilarious. Let's face it someone needs to caught Lunatic Lisa in her game eventually.   Now we know why Johnny finally is helping Lisa because he wants to save her because he could not save Claudia.  Well I wish him luck on this mission.  Johnny is a great guy and I really hope Lisa is worth his trouble at least for this case.

Patrick finally realized what it will take to win back his wife, being the player he was born to be.  See Robin just ignored the diligent devoted efforts Patrick has put forth so far, but see Robin fell in love with Patrick the player not Patrick the incredibly remorseful cheating husband.  So Patrick finally figured out how to get her attention, the way he did from the start.  I am so glad he kissed her and she didn't fight it then he walked away leaving Robin wanting more.  I loved that.  I hope these two get back together for good soon.

I don't even like Lulu and Dante together at all.  However, I found them kind of funny today.  Lulu describing the opera in the limo on their way over was classic.  For a second or two I think Dante was afraid Lulu was going to take the theme of the opera literally.   When Lulu and Dante were getting together I really liked their potential long ago.  Dante with his cheesy pick up lines and Lulu in her 'no man is going to hurt me' mode was entertaining.  Lulu was strong and Dante was kind of tolerable.  Then they became Lante and were so infused with other another Lulu forgot who she was and her brain right along with it.  I wanted to gag every time they are on typically.  However, today it was like we got to see the old Lulu and Dante for a second and it was cute.

Okay I tried to give Siobhan another chance and tried not to keep thinking she was leading Lucky into a trap.  But I have to say I think I should have gone with my gut feeling. I guess we know how Lucky rates when it comes to Siobhan now.  Lucky gave up possibly seeing ever seeing his two children again and his life to go with Siobhan to help her save her sister and then she turns on him.  I basically knew she would turn on him but it's sad for Lucky's sake even though it was a fake. I think it's all part of the plan for her to say she was improvising but she really is just going along with the detailed plan.  I think still think she's got something else up her sleeve.  I still think she is playing with Lucky. Can we please find Lucky a nice girl with isn't out to get him?

The romantically bitter Carly and Spinelli were kind of funny on today's show.  Carly's line to the random couple kissing face, "Love never lasts." was just another entertaining moment of their conversation at Jakes. We know Carly plans to blow this up coming wedding sky high with scandal and then we have The Balkan and Franco in the other corner taking turns with explosives.  Today we saw a little softer side of Carly.  I miss Carly and Sonny sometimes.  Jax made Carly happy but he was the stable love of Carly's life.  Sonny and Carly were amazing in their day.  I don't think we will ever get a CarSon reunion but sometimes I miss them.  I liked how crazy they both were sometimes.  I know Sonny and Brenda have their past and they think they have found it all, but I am not sure I can stomach much more of their wedding talk.  I really have to say, I am rooting for The Balkan or Franco to blow Brenda to the moon at this rate because I just can't take her anymore.

Romance was really in the air for our favorite couple today.  Jason and Sam were outstanding today.  We got over 9 minutes of our amazing couple today and each scene was so incredible I can't help but go back and watch them over and over again.  Their dancing was so sweet.  Jason wanting to dance was the cutest because he never really wants to dance but he did with Sam.  Sam clearly was so grateful to be with Jason but you could tell that the thought of a baby was still in the back of her mind as they danced. She looked a little sad the whole time they were dancing. I loved their dialog about cooking today.  I laughed out loud during this discussion.  Some of the great lines:
Sam to Jason: "It always surprises me when you cook."
Jason to Sam: "It always surprises me when you cook too." Jason chuckles
Sam to Jason: "Okay so you aren't with me for my cooking, why are you?"
Jason to Sam: "Because I know what my life is like without you and I want you in it."

True Stelly Magic on the screen today in every scene.  This is the reason this couple has such a large fan-base and following was a live and well on the screen today.

I think Jason wanted Sam to be pregnant just as much as she wanted to be.  we knew the results were negative but that didn't make watching those scenes any less emotional.  I cried along with Sam.  Kelly Monaco did and incredible job in her performance today. All of our hearts broke as we watch Sam struggle to keep a brave face to Jason trying to convince him and herself she was fine with the results.  Jason is terrified on so many levels in those few seconds.  He wants Sam to be happy and wants to do anything to make her happy.  But he knows a life with him means she has to give up wanting a family of her own.  He struggles with this because deep down he wants a family with her more then anything.  The fact she can't have kids is because of him so this is even harder for him to deal with.  There are so many levels of emotion alive when these two discuss family, babies and children.   I don't think this is the end of the baby story line or at least I hope it is not.  I don't think Sam is pregnant and Liz just switched the results.  Liz is evil but I don't see her being that evil right now.  I think Sam might have something else going on health-wise and that is what is caused the dizzy spell and nausea.  I think Jason will come very close to losing Sam and then he'll decide he wants her to get the procedure and have a baby.  He will want (just like he did today) to be a father to her children.  I am glad Jason saw how much it hurt Sam to get the negative results back and really see between the lines she really does want a child with Jason.
Jason was incredible today for Sam.  This was a wonderful Valentines Day for our couple overall.  Jason, you did an amazing job in a romantic evening and said all the right things but next time could you possibly give Sam a RING instead of another damn necklace?  The girl has enough necklaces, its time for a diamond ring! I was kind of hoping there would be a little surprise proposal today but I guess we can't have everything.  We did get so many incredible lines between Jason and Sam.  There is no denying they love each other so much.  As fans we loves this couple and are so incredibly happy they are together that we should be thankful for that.  We should not want more.  Our amazing couple is together and that is all we ever wanted.  Yes, a baby and or a ring would be amazing but let's just focus on the wonderfulness we do have.  We have our couple together! That is enough for me.

Love is in the air

Love is in the air in Port Charles today.  Last year GH wowed up with the amazing two day V-day special that left us all swooning and weak in the knees.  I was skeptical with the Balkan roaming around town and the upcoming wedding if that would steal all the thunder of Valentines Day away from our special couples on GH.  I was glad to see my skepticism was put to rest today. Might I say, I have never been a huge fan of Valentines day myself but GH has allowed me to develop a new found respect for the holiday.  I am glad to see GH kept in the spirit of things.

Oh my goodness Spinelli was in rare form today. His daydream about Maxie was so classic 'She had slept with someone else and was sorry'.  Poor Maxie the girl is unfaithful and she's branded for life.  But you can tell he still loves her and she still loves him, I just wish they would get those two back together sometimes.  Spinelli still wears his heartbreak on his sleeve.  I was insulted for him when Lulu came around begging him to go talk to Dante and Michael about his heartache.  She really is extremely selfish isn't she?  However, Spinelli, being the true friend that he is to even the most undeserving Lulu, showed up to help keep Dante at his apartment.  His Shakespeare rambling had me laughing so hard to Dante and Michael.  It was hard for Michael to keep a straight face during all of Spinelli's rambling.  I am really tired of Dante and really think Lulu should find someone else.  But the scenes today were at least tolerable because Michael and Spinelli were part of them.  I hope when they raced off Michael was headed to the Metro Court to see Abby.  Where did Abby go?  I mean she checked into her room but Michael hasn't been back to see her since.  She should be completely recovered by now.  When are Michael and Abby ever going to get that first date? I hope soon.

Theo's career advice to Alexis enraged me more then anything that man has uttered out of his mouth.  That was the most sexiest thing I have ever heard. I wanted Alexis to slap him with a lawsuit right there.  The decorations Molly and Kristina put together for Alexis reminded me of a scene out of Steel Magnolias.  I could just hear that line, Sally Fields: "Her colors are pink and pink.  The whole church looks like it's been hosed down the pepto bismol.".   Molly and Krissy went way overboard with setting things up for Mac and Alexis.  I was glad Mac kind of set Molly straight on the fact that she should probably not force the issue so much with them.  Molly really does need another hobby.  But what I liked the most was when Alexis walked in and saw the decorations Mac covered for the girls.  In that moment it reminded me that Mac is incredible with teenage girls and their scheming because he was such a solid father for Maxie and Georgie.  Mac really does need happiness and maybe he and Alexis haven't ever seemed to get the timing right but I am glad they both see there might be something there after all.

While all the hearts in Port Charles are not spoken for I guess Valentines Day is as good as any to find people's good qualities even if they are Lisa Niles.  Johnny really does like the criminally insane doesn't he?  Why does Johnny defend Lisa?  Why can't he and Maxie get together? Or Lulu and Johnny.  But why Lisa? I guess Johnny really does like playing with fire even in the bedroom.  The only problem is if he pisses Lisa off  she might just kill him while he sleeps after all slipping some roofies into Patrick's drink is just part of her daily insanity.  I am not sure who is crazier though out of the cast of characters at Jake's tonight.  I am willing to bet Terell is a little bit crazier then Lisa gives him credit for.  Terell seems to have some morals though.  He seems to have some reservations about seducing a married woman on Lisa's orders.  I think he will surprise us and expose Lisa or kill her one.  Who knows maybe he's crazier then anyone expects.  What ever happens at Jakes I hope scrubs get back together once and for all!  I am tired of this game and they need to get back together.

Siobhan and Lucky were the only ones not real in the mood for Valentines Day today.  They did share a few tender moments though which just make me want to be wrong about Siobhan. I had a few questions as I watched these two back in Ireland that I am sure I am not the only one who thought of these. Wasn't that the same warehouse Lucky held Sam when they were trying to catch the Balkan a few months ago?  Siobhan knows gun dealers in Ireland, should that be a clue to Lucky this girl might not be telling him the whole truth?  I still think she is either very deep in with the Balkan or she works for Interpol and is very deep undercover.  Either way I still don't sense she is telling Lucky the whole truth.  Now Lucky is a cop and he does get undercover I just hope she is on the right side for Lucky's sake.

Now for the main event! Jason and Sam.  Jason was so cute right from the start of the show trying to set up a surprise for Sam. He could hardly keep from smiling the entire time he was with Sam.  I'll admit when Molly showed up with yet another list for Jason I became concerned we'd have to deal with Molly's 12 yr old version of what she thinks is the perfect Valentines Day and not get any quality JaSam time.  Sam and Jason politely as possible told Molly while they appreciate everything she does, let them see what Jason has up his sleeve. Jason was adorable when he held the bag up for Sam to look inside. I love seeing this side of Jason because typically he is always focused on Michael and everyone else but, for once, he has his priorities straight.  Oh Jason, you try hard but you are still romantically challenged in the decoration department.  Maxie to the rescue for the decorations. Maxie had probably one of the funnier lines of the day: "Wow if you ever decide to leave the organization, do not become a decorator."  Maxie and Jason I think are actually friends but he wouldn't be willing to admit that on a normal day. So is there anyone in town that doesn't think Sam is pregnant? Maxie telling Jason was kind of cute.  She's one of Sam's oldest friends in Port Charles and I love that she is excited even if there isn't a baby.
As Sam stepped out of the elevator you could sense her hesitation to talk to Elizabeth of all freaking people about her dr's appointment.  We all know Sam was trying to con herself and Jason when she said she didn't want to take the home pregnancy test.  The fact she didn't tell Jason she was going to the hospital to get the test means Sam let that conversation with Lulu and Maxie effect her more then she let on. Elizabeth's face was classic when Sam told her she was there for a pregnancy test.  Elizabeth has always acted so superior to Sam because she always tries to flaunt the fact she gave Jason the one thing Sam could never, a child.  Elizabeth was down right bitchy to Sam but Sam being the mature person she is didn't take the bait.  I could NOT believe Elizabeth called Jason to tell him her PREGNANCY tests results are in. Has the chick ever heard of voicemail?! She is such a conniving witch trying to act concerned but we all know she's trying to cause problems for them again! I am glad Jason didn't take the bait on that either.  But in that instance Jason realized Sam really does want a family and is just trying to talk herself out of it because she knows it isn't what he wants.  He realized in that instance also how much she gives up for him on a daily basis. When Sam arrived and they sat down at the table I loved how Jason very lovingly and  sportively told Sam her pregnancy test results were in.  Sam's face showed so much emotion in that second.  She knew her con of convincing herself and Jason she didn't want to have kids wasn't working anymore.

Incredible Jason and Sam lines today:
Sam to Molly: "Jason is already the most romantic guy in the world to me."
Jason to Maxie: "Maxie I just want Sam to know she's first in my life." FINALLY!!!!
Jason to Sam: "Just wanted you to know what you mean to me not just on Valentine's Day but every single day."

Sneak Peek of Monday's show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIJ-Hg8kvLc&feature=feedu
Jason and Sam dancing and being romantic!!!! Lulu and Dante on their way to the opera and Lulu warning Dante very subtly if she screws her over again she won't be so forgiving. I thought that was a pretty funny scene for Lante and I don't even like them that much.  This makes me so excited!! I can't wait until Monday!!!!

Call the comment line - thank them for a great show and help us support a JaSam baby.

The Never Ending Day

Is it just me or does it seem like today is the longest day in history for the residents of Port Charles? On Monday Alexis showed up at the PCPD wearing PJ's telling them it was late.  But yet the residences  of Port Charles are all still out and about.  Do these people ever sleep? Besides Alexis, of course, who was ready to go to sleep many hours ago.  Is this day ever going to end in Port Charles?

Today there was a lot of drama in this very long day in Port Charles.  But let's focus on the element of comedy today.  Carly was in comical form today.  That poor woman, seriously let's recap the last 2 days (2 days in Port Charles land not literal days for us) for her.  She's been schoolyard bullied by Bridzilla who told her what Jax has been up to.  She's been lied to by her husband and now decided she wants a divorce.  She's dealing with Michael's issues and all the time trying to be very strong for him. Now she's getting accused of destroying Botox's wedding dress and flooding the venue.  The average person would be booking a room for the long haul at Shady Brook if this was their day.  However, Carly has decided to laugh at some of the absurdity and thank goodness she has.   Could she have done it, she said it herself , yes.  Did she do it, no.  Her talk to Ronnie was hilarious calling him Detective Dumb Ass.  We all agree he is the most argent pompous cop the force has right now.  I still haven't figured out why he has not gone back to NY yet. Carly is capable of pretty much anything she sets  her mind to.  However, Carly really had enough on her plate.  I kind of wish Carly could run off Brenda.  We would all be happier but it does look like Brenda is here for the time being.   There will be no liking her so at least Brenda has made us like Carly more.  Let me be clear, I am a Carly fan but she has a way about her sometimes to piss off JaSam fans because she thinks Jason is her property.  I know that since Brenda's entrance Carly's stock has gone up.  We all liked Brenda before but now that she has returned we see how selfish, childish, controlling and self-adsorb she is.  We realize that Carly, while she has her selfish moments, she has so much more to her life then her perfect hair.

So that leads us to the next question, wedding saboteur, who could it be?  Well we know it is not Carly.  I think it is Saghag Suzanne and here is why:
She has access to the PH to cut up the dress.
She knows where the wedding is going to be.
She doesn't want to Brenda to marry Sonny.
She doesn't like Sonny.
She's actually in collusion with The Balkan.
But mostly because she knows to frame Carly.
She knows Brenda and Carly hate each other.

Well we know the wedding saboteur is not Luke.  He is far to busy eating everything in sight at the Metro Court.  Luke had some valid advice for his daughter Lulu.  Sadly she seems to want to go back to Dante and heaven help us I think she will.  I hope she knocks his lights out when Carly drops her bombshell at the wedding.  We can only hope she and Johnny start hanging out together more.  That would solve a few things.  It would get crazy Lisa away from Johnny and get Lulu away from deceptive Dante.

I don't know about you but I am ready for this day to end in PC.  I want it to be Valentines day for the residence of Port Charles?  Why can't that day last 7 episodes?  I want to see Nookie, Stevia, Scrubs and of course JaSam celebrate.

We've seen the promo for this week that shows Patrick and Robin back together.  YAY! It's about darn time.  I loved Crazy Lisa because she made Scrubs more exciting for a while but that storyline is getting old.  Get them back together!!!!!

Also with the promo we see our couple discussing a pregnancy test. So when does Sam take a pregnancy test?  How does Jason know the results are in before we do?  I am so confused.  I hope tomorrow is an amazing JaSam day and so is Monday.  I hope it gives me so much to gush about in this blog it takes up pages.  I hope it is ever bit as good as last year.  I want quality JaSam time!!!!!!!!

Call the comment lines let them know our super couple needs some serious more airtime.

Disenchanted and frustarted

You know it is hard to put into words what I am feeling right now about today's show.  I have a few words that come to mind: robbed, sad, frustrated, angry, misled, neglected (as fans), disappointed, disenchanted, let down and there are so many more.
Instead of watching the rest of today's show, I turned it off after the first frustrating 15 minutes.  I am so at a loss of what to say.  I haven't been quite so disappointed in a long time.  So instead of giving an hour of my life to a pointless episode that only causes me angry I decided to at least just dream of how I wanted today to go.  How I wanted it all to play out.  In May of 05 when Sam thought she was pregnant she was reluctant to take a pregnancy test because she wanted just a few more hours to dream.  I feel that way today.  I wanted a few more hours to just dream of how I had wished today had gone. I wish Jason and Sam would spend 10 freaking minutes focusing on each other instead of worrying about stupid Brenda's dress or anything else.  I wanted Jason to say what he needed her help with was spending time together.  I wanted him to kiss her, lock out the rest of the world, look deep into her eyes and just talk.  Talk about anything except everyone else.  Talk about how grateful they are for one another, talk about going to their cabin in the mountains to relax or just hold each other.  I wanted some quality time for the two of them because they need it. I didn't necessarily want her to take the pregnancy test but just them to talk.  I wanted to just dream of the way I want them to be.  They way they used to be when the writing was good.  Guza has a way sometimes of screwing with our emotion and today he did that.

I am reluctant to even publish this post today just because I know I need to be positive and keep the faith. I think if I had been in a different mindset today I could have probably found someway to turn that sorry excuse for an episode today into something positive.  Maybe it's the weather or just the disappointment in some other areas of my life.  But today I just don't know how to rain sunshine and roses over that episode.  I don't want to feed anyone's disappointment with the writing but I don't want anyone to be mistaken that today's show in anyway pleased me.

I would say call the comment line and complain but unfortunately we all know you catch more flies with honey then with vinegar.  So today instead of calling and telling them what I have told you, I am going to try to find SOMETHING positive about today's show to thanks them for and suggest more quality JaSam time.  I might have to wait a few hours before I call.

Perfect Harmony

Today's episode was a great Monday.  Today's show had some very serious scenes but also some very funny ones too.  I loved the writing today for that perfect harmony.

We watched Sonny and Michael talk about his very serious pain.  Those scenes were very compelling between those two.  Michael has come a long way to mature and his childhood was absolutely out of the normal.  It is impressive how the character's spirit has endured all the hell he has been through.  I was glad Sonny finally admitted to being at fault for marry the crazy Claudia. Sonny is no father of the year but he is finally stepping up to the plate now with Michael.

Luke and Tracy make me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes today.  Mac's joining in on the crazy circus we call the Spencer/Quatermain clan was so amusing I had to rewatch it a few times.  Tracy is so classic I love how funny she is.  Alexis showing up at the police station in her PJ's was priceless.  Apparently Alexis needs a date soon by Mac because she's in her PJ's before everyone else still awake.  My stomach hurt so hard from laughing at these scenes today.  Brooklyn and Tracy's interaction was priceless.  Almost as priceless as Nikolas' reaction to Brook suggesting Granny go stay with them at Wyndamerre.  I can't keep laughing.

Okay I have heard from a few of you that I may have harshly over judged Siobhan.  I am trying to give her another chance.  It's been a struggle since I have a feeling she's still lying to Lucky and is really in deep with the Balkan and might be getting Lucky about killed. I have a feeling he has investing wrongly in her.   But I am trying.  I have my doubts why she wants to go off on her own was to server her purpose for the Balkan. But again I am trying to give her another chance.

Oh my gosh, I FREAKING LOVE CARLY! She read my freaking mind with what she said to Brenda.  Carly does have many more problems then stupid Brenda and her stupid wedding dress.  Not to mention Suzanne is the one who shredded the wedding dress we all know that. Suzanne had access to Brenda's room and she's crazy.   Robin had no freaking business to go to Jason to talk about Carly or to fuel Brenda's hatred for Carly.  Robin needs to get out of this whole argument.  This is not her fight and she needs to stop being the teenage version of the Heathers with Brenda and remember she is a mature, grown, accomplished  woman  who has her own life and family.  Brenda telling Sonny it was Carly was so childish and petty.  She has no proof and needs to actually realize that there is more going on for Sonny and Carly right now then her little wedding.  Sonny is going to attack Carly on this which ticks me off.  Carly has stood by Sonny through it all and he needs to stop taking crazy Bridezilla Botox  Brenda's side.

Lulu, Maxie and Sam at Jake's was really rather amusing.  Maxie is so funny and Lulu has the potential to be entertaining when not with Dante.  Maxie and Lulu ganging up on Sam was priceless. Did you happen to notice Lulu moving the beer away from Sam when the waiter brought more beers to the table? Sam's explanations were too; bad Sushi for lunch and her jeans being too tight made me laugh so hard.  Another example of today's show having a very harmonious balance of serious and seriously funny. Also it was great to see Sam out with friends and being her own person not always having to be in Jason's orbit.  Sam hiding the pregnancy test from Jason was funny too.  I am glad she told him everything and isn't hiding anything.  The topic of baby, family and motherhood have been weighing heavy on Sam recently.  I know Jason has to know that too.  When she took the test to the PH I was sad for one reason though, because I knew this means that their discussion tomorrow about family will get interrupted by someone.  I really hope before they get interrupted tomorrow, Jason says all the right things to Sam.  I hope Jason starts showing a desire for Sam to be pregnant.  According to this week's preview the results are in and from the pictures I have seen they don't look happy.  So we know there isn't a baby on the way.  But I hope this is a turning point for them.  I hope Jason starts wanting a child with Sam more then he is willing to express now.  Not to mention I hope Guza isn't screwing with us.  I hope we do get a baby and sooner rather then later.  All this build up really can't be for nothing, right?

Looking at things like Grandmother would have

When I started this blog, my very first entry was about my Grandmother, Pansy, who always watch General Hospital during my childhood.  She and I would always watch the show, or stories as she called it, in the afternoons during the summers I would visit her off from school.  It's been a very long time since my Grandmother passed away and I am clearly past those days of school vacation, but sometimes I wonder what she would think about the show right now.  I wonder if she would like the same characters I like and be energized about the same story lines or not.  We didn't always agree on characters even when she was alive but I think she would like some of what they have done with the show.

Luke was Grandmother's favorite character.  Oh I can just hear her now how she would talk about him.  I think she'd love the fact Luke is still on the show.  I love the comedy of Luke's character always trying to swindle everyone and not always succeeding but that never keeps him from doing it.  Tracy has learned a thing or two through the years with being involved with Luke.  She's learned how he swindles, what methods he'll use etc.  She's also learned to never trust him or get too angry about it.   I think she was putting on an act for Mac when he arrested her.  She's pissed I don't doubt that but she also knows Luke's got a plan.  Hopefully Alexis will be able to get Tracy out of custody before they notice her cellmate, Siobhan isn't there.

Speaking of Siobhan I am not sure Grandmother would much care for that story line what so ever.  I can hear here now, she would say something to the effect of "Oh My Stars! how much more can I we take of that fake Irish accent and dreadfully boring character of Siobhan?  If I hear her high pitched whining tone rattling on about her sister Meagan and the Balkan I am going to go wash the floor."  I would have to agree with her on that one.  Watching Siobhan's terrible storyline and fake accent makes me want to turn off the TV and do something else entirely.   I am not sure what is more annoying, Brenda's laugh or Siobhan's fake accent.  Both have to go soon.  They are dreadful and I can't believe how much air time Siobhan's had this week.  It's sickening.  She must be Guza's new favorite.

Poor Nookie (yes, I love the combination of Brooklyn and Nikolas' names together so much I have stopped referring to them separately)  they are never going to get a date, are they?  Try as they might to get a real date together it seems like someone or something is always happened.  If it is not Floor Whore Liz coming in to make up illnesses for her children, it's Brook's Granny being arrested for jewel theft.  I am thinking if Nikolas ever wants to get to first base with this girl, he needs to fly her away to one of his private islands without distraction.  I am not sure what my Grandmother would think of Nookie but I like them.  I think they both balance each other out nicely.  The fact Brook is willing to go toe to toe with Liz and calls her on her crap is just a beautiful thing.  I am sad to know that those entertaining squabbles will soon end when Liz finally jumps on her broomstick and flies out of Port Charles for good.

One storyline I am certain Grandmother and I would disagree on is Brenda.  Grandmother always liked Brenda.  I admit back in the early 90's I like Brenda too.  But that feeling has completely changed.  I can't believe how petty she is and just down right mean to Carly.  I have always been a Carly fan.  I wanted to jump through the TV screen today and slap Brenda for being so mean about Carly to Robin.  Robin is mature accomplished doctor who should not stoop to the level Brenda is at when it comes to being petty about Carly.  Yes, Carly has caused a lot of pain for Robin in the past but Robin's been front and center to witness a lot of Carly's pain the past few years.  Robin should really cut her some slack and stop feeding Brenda's attacks to Carly.  I want Carly to really get revenge on that  toothpick Brenda and send her packing for good.  I hope Carly kicks that skinny little judgmental shallow witch's tail right back to Rome for good.

I am pretty sure Grandmother would like Jason and Sam.  Today Sam put into words what Jason was feeling about her and always feels about her.  She reminded him he is so important to her and how grateful she is to have him.  While I think Jason feels Sam is too good to be with him sometimes and he isn't worthy of her love, she reminds him he is what she wants.  She is his strength and is there for him when his whole world is falling apart.  He knows this and even though she said it about him he feels equally the same about her.  She is his strength.  I wish Jason would tell her more often about how she keeps him sane and how he draws his strength from her.  I think she knows because the way he looks at her but he really does need to focus on her more.  Things did get awkward again when they started talking about the procedure and Spinelli though.  You could see she was just trying to make she Jason knew she wasn't off daydreaming at the office about babies and confiding in Spinelli about it.  I did get frustrated that they can never have a complete conversation without Michael interrupting.  I feel for the kid I really do his is going through a horrible time but seriously can't he go do some homework or something to give Jason and Sam some time to actually talk.  I love Maxie Jones I really do.  Maxie can put things in a way no one else can.  Maxie and Sam's talk about kids was kind of cute.  I like Maxie someday longs for children but she is about 8 yrs younger then Sam so she's not seeing kids anytime soon.  Could you imagine Maxie as a mother? Wow! Anyhow her suggestion that Sam was pregnant was classic.  Lulu's face was even more classic.  Sam knows she is not pregnant and it's probably a touch of the flu but based on the conversation they just had Maxie had to come to that conclusion.  I've seen about a half dozen different dates for Sam to take the pregnancy test and also get the results, which apparently takes a long time, perhaps she should try EPT it takes 3 minutes not 3 weeks.  But next week should be a good week for Jason and Sam, hopefully they can have a conversation without Michael coming in to talk in the middle of it all.

Call the Comment lines and tell them how much we want a positive pregnancy test! I know this one is negative but I still want that to be wrong.  Have a great weekend.

Facing Reality!

Today in Port Charles a few people had to face a new reality.  For some it is in the post reveal from Michael and for others it's coming to terms with the face Siobhan's a spy.

I know sometimes Carly can be over dramatic and controlling when it comes to Jason.  She has her faults there is no denying that.  However, I am a Carly fan and today is another reason why.  Carly's marriage is in the gutter because her husband has a hero complex to save his old love Brenda.  Her oldest son has finally been able to tell her the hell he lived through in prison.  Today I wanted to stand up and applaud her for apologizing to Abby.  Carly didn't have to do that.  She could have stayed away from the hospital.  But she decided she needed to be strong and mature by apologizing to Abby.  Carly has accepted Abby as part of Michael's life now.  She realizes Abby is the person who has helped Michael so much where she and Jason could not. Carly has accepted Michael friendship with Abby because she knows Abby is good for him despite of her current profession and age.  That show amazing maturity for Carly who let's face it can struggle with maturity sometimes.  Carly is angry and rightfully so.  Carly was kidnapped my his ex-husband's crazy wife, Claudia, while she was in labor. Claudia then tries to kidnap her baby and her oldest son burst into the cabin and kills Claudia to save his mother.  She had to witness that horrible set of events, then to watch her son be hauled off to prison for the crime.  She then had to dance around Michael ever since he was released because he could not talk about what happened.  Then she found out what really did happen and it was horrible.  As a mother Carly has to be in so much pain.  She is so strong to be able to stand tall through this all.  So yes, I think she is completely justified for pointing a gun at Dante.  Hell I'd love it if she killed him. Dianne could probably find a creative way to get the charges dismissed as justified homicide because let's face it that is what it would be.  Carly has had to face some bitter realities in the last couple of days.

I really hate Brenda I really do.  She's such a self-absorbed witch.  Brenda's conversation with Carly just made me hate her more.  Here she is obsessing about the shade of flowers she has for her stupid wedding that will be putting everyone's life at risk and her's.  Can you be any less shallow Botox really? Her line to Carly about being Michael and Morgan's step mother really got under my skin.  Brenda has no rights to Carly's sons because Sonny has no legal right to them.  If they want to develop a relationship with Botox that is up to them but she has no right to start spouting off to Carly she's going to be their new step mommy.   Sonny's wives have a tendency to either end up dead or go insane or both so Botox better watch out what her fate ends up being. Botox might be facing some realities about what it will really mean to be Mrs. Sonny Corinthos.

Michael and Abby are facing a new reality today as well.  Michael is finally able to talk about what happened to him in prison because he was able to prevent it from happening to Abby.  The act of saving Abby empowered Michael to finally face his own reality and tell people about it.  Abby has come to accept the reality that she is not bad for Michael.  She is good for him and even Carly made that fact clear today.

When Nicolas was faced with the reality today that Brooklyn might not be available much longer he finally jumped up.  He realized he has a good thing with Brooklyn and he needs to take it to the next level to find out what is there.  I think these two both know each other have dark sides and are no saints.  However, both of them seem to believe in second chances.  Nookie are cute together and I like their new reality of possibly becoming a real item.

Jason is dealing with all sorts of new realities lately.  You have to feel so sorry for the guy.  The child he has always wanted to protect was raped.  He has to deal with the fact he is stuck protecting Brenda and now he knows Siobhan's a spy.  Jason really needs to go to Sam and just hide at her place for a few days.  He needs to lock the rest of the world out and talk to the one person in his life that listens and is his saving grace.   I really hope we get some quality time between Jason and Sam.  He needs her right now more then ever.  I hope the Valentine's Day episode is amazing for these two.  They need to get lost in each other for a while. Let's hope Sam is on this week because I am going through withdraws.

Emmy Worthy!

Yesterday and today's episodes have been emmy worthy performances by Chad Duell, Andrea Bogart, Laura Wright and Steve Burton.  Today's show was so powerful I had to write about it.  Finally Jason and Michael talked about not only what happened to him but Michael finally explained to Jason he can't live his life for him.  Jason, naturally, as Michael's father figure has always wanted to protect Michael from everything.  That's the natural way for a parent.  However, much like all of us as parents, we have to eventually accept our child is grown and is now living their own life.  We have to let go of them and let them fly or fall.  That is the hardest part as a parent and Jason realized today he has never let Michael live his own life but he has to now.  I felt extremely sorry for both Jason and Carly today.  The child they have tired so hard to protect was sexually assaulted and they can't fix him.  Carly is really having a horrible night.  First, she gets blindsided by Brenda telling her Jax went to London for Brenda.  Then to fight with Jax and wants to quit on their marriage.  She rushes to Jason's for support only to find out the horrific details of Michael's time in Pentonville.  As a mother she could not be having a much harder day. I was proud of Carly because she didn't fly off the handle.  She reminded her son he is strong enough to handle anything.  She was strong enough to keep her cool instead of explode irrationally which we know she can do from time to time.  She at least kept it together in front of Micahel which was good.

I almost felt sorry for Brenda briefly too today as she talked about her lost child.  I almost liked her for a brief fleeting moment. I think Suzanne has Brenda's child.   I am fairly certain she is working for the Balkan.  I really think she is the dead dude's mother.  They really are leaving this whole story rather open ended right now.  We don't know how pregnant Brenda was when she went to Africa.  If she were less then 6 months the baby's chance of survival (especially in a country without modern medicine practices) are very low.  If she were in her 3rd trimester what the hell was she thinking traveling to Africa that close to her due date?  Also another detail is what happened to the baby's body if she was fairly far along and the baby died? All these details are very much needed before we can fully determine what really happened in Africa.  Just when I began to start listening to Brenda and somewhat caring about the story Brenda had to go be Brenda again and I went back to rooting for the Balkan.  Brenda really is clueless and mean.  I was angry she said those mean things to Jax about Carly.  Jax really is blind and should realize he should not waist anymore time or air on Botox.  Brenda has brought nothing but pain and heart ache for Jax, Carly, Lulu and Dante.  She has caused major stress for other relationships all around Port Charles.  I really do wish the Balkan would just kidnap her and take her out once and for all.

Call the comment lines about how amazing Chad, Steve and Laura were today!
